Rumi

A therapist grounded in lived experience and rigorous scholarship.

With over 16 years of clinical experience, Myrtho Gardiner brings a warm, integrative approach to therapy that honors each person's unique cultural background and life story. His practice draws on psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and narrative frameworks to help clients find clarity, resilience, and authentic connection.

As a PhD candidate at the City University of New York (CUNY), Myrtho's research focuses on trauma and healing among formerly incarcerated individuals — work that deepens his clinical understanding of systemic barriers to mental wellness. He also serves as Director of the Exodus Community Therapeutic Initiative (ECTI) at Exodus Transitional Community and as an Adjunct Lecturer at NYU's Silver School of Social Work.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, processing trauma, strengthening relationships, or searching for a sense of purpose, Myrtho creates a safe, nonjudgmental space for exploration and growth.
